So processing through these faces and memories has been totally consuming me. It's amazing to be taken back to the sights, sounds, and smells of each image. He allowed so much to happen in this day-which was Thursday. I am only going to be able to post half the day cause so much did happen...
We first had breakfast in Ventanilla...and from there we went to a community shelter where women came to file abuse, or people came to get IDs...it was a place we had been before but in a different setting. This time we were free to mingle among the lives there. I watched to many strike up conversations...it was beautiful to watch the lives mingle together. I was amazed by the doors that were freely opened in each of the lives around us. Even the one, Patti, that me and Hannah were able to talk with and pray over. I haven't forgotten her-the rawness of her story and the tears freshly falling down her pained face. He spoke volumes to me through each life there.
It didn't end there as we went to visit children and mothers who were waiting for us. Their little faces-the searching eyes and the so willing to accept love hands. I love when the scramble to find an open lap and promptly plop into yours. No matter how many climb on I love it. Stroking their hair and hearing them giggle as they watch the skit unfold before them.
He is good...my knees to the earth in the dirty floors I praise Him right alongside those children. All we have is His.
be blessed
..ez..
All those people going somewhere
Why have i never cared?
Give me your eyes for just one second
Give me your eyes so i can see
Everything that i keep missing
Give me your love for humanity
Give me your arms for the broken hearted
The ones that are far beyond my reach?
Give me your heart for the one's forgotten
Give me your eyes so i can see
All those people going somewhere
Why have i never cared?
Give me your eyes for just one second
Give me your eyes so i can see
Everything that i keep missing
Give me your love for humanity
Give me your arms for the broken hearted
The ones that are far beyond my reach
Give me your heart for the one's forgotten
Give me your eyes so i can see
Well i want a second glance
So give me a second chance
To see the way you see the people all alone
I'm so encouraged, as I look back to all the God did!
Libby, looking over these pictures brought back the memories of those precious moments. Like talking with Patti, or being a part of the skit. Thanks for perfectly capturing the moments and faces. Love you! :)
