It's strange to look back and remember.
I remember the day we first moved in. The hustle, bustle, and the bittersweetness of it all. We were moving for the first time in my life-away from the old farm house and into a new chapter of life. Who knew then what that chapter would hold? Who would have guessed that so much could happen within the years we spent in that little ranch on Hickory St?
If those walls could speak and echo back our lives what a story they would tell. It would ring out with laughter and be mingled with tears of sadness. There would be cries in the darkness and shouts of victory. New life ringing out and the heaviness of death. But most of all I believe that the song begun since the beginning of time would far out drown the others. It is the song of His glory.
I didn't quite know how to feel about this whole move...but there is a peace and I accept it. I welcome it actually with arms flung wide open. This is a new chapter-with more memories to be made and new lives to leave their mark. This is the beginning of something bigger than ourselves. So here we go.
