{updates and mornings}

Alrighty so here is an update from Haiti. jenny and Justin are in their last full day there in Haiti with Delight. Please pray for a covering and protection around them in this last day. Today is a day full of Delight for them and the enemy will want nothing of the sort.

"Another great day in Haiti! Justin did a great job preaching. He preached for exactly 20 minutes (a new record :-) and that included the interpreter's time as well!!! We were able to explore Port-au-Prince today via a "tap-tap" (we'll show pictures of that later!). Delight tried her first Kit-Kat candy bar today - She loved it (who wouldn't, right?). Love you all!"

And so we have returned-this time from Deluth, MN. God was so incredible over the past weekend while we were there at MACHE. So many lives surrounded us and we had an awesome time of being able to not just speak into their lives but also have many of them speak into ours. It was a great weekend with some pretty amazing people as well :) Shannon and Marty were able to come along and it was so great to have them there! After a great weekend and the long trip back we now plunge into getting ready for the next big conference- Big Sandy, TX!

Are we a bit off our rockers? You bet :) But again, I am so excited to see what He has in store for us this time! We are getting ready to leave this Saturday for our grand adventure. If you could keep the staff in prayer. Praying Philippians 2 over us as a group would be appreciated. We can't do this ourselves-that I know as a fact. But hey, what big things can we do with Jesus?! The possibilities are endless!!!

May you have a blessed day.

Adventures Continued

Hey there all! It's been a bit busy around here. But I have found a moment to write up a bit of an update for everyone! Here are some of the posts that Jenny has been able to upload from Haiti. Unfortunately the internet connection is not the best and so uploading pictures is not able to happen during their stay there.

Thursday-

 "We made it to Haiti! Delight is absolutely beautiful!!! We arrived on
 Wednesday afternoon - it is now Thursday night - and we have yet to hear
 her cry! A very happy baby, indeed. She has the cutest smile and
 "scrunch face" we've ever seen. We are truly overwhelmed. Sorry about
 the lack of information (Haiti connection is "iffy" at best).  Will not
 be able to upload any photos - their connection cannot handle it. Sorry!
 :-("

 Still in shock and filled with joy (or should I say DELIGHT)!

Friday-

"Had another great day! Delight Miana is a very happy baby and loves to laugh. We're also having a great time with all the other children as well. They call us "Mama Blanc" and "Papa Blanc" (white mama / white papa)! We are "attacked" every time we show up. Beautiful children, beautiful smiles, and runny noses!!!"

"Forgot to mention one little thing - Justin is preaching in a Creole (French) speaking Baptist church on Sunday morning via an interpreter! He says, "PRAY!!!" :-)"

So I really had better go to bed but keep praying! He is good :)

Delightful Day ((1))

Today is the first day of the grand adventure! My sister Jenny and her husband Justin are in the air on their way to Haiti! Why so? Well, there waits a beautiful little girl named Delight Miana-she waits just for them on this very special day. It has been a year of anticipation you see, and this day has been much anticipated. Many of you all have been praying for my sister and her family as they have been involved in the process of adopting little Ligh.

I am going to be bold and ask that this week you would set aside a specific time each day-it doesn't matter how long-to pray for Jenny and Justin and Delight. This is something that I know needs to be covered, yes, saturated in continual prayer. Each day I will try to post an update or at least a way that you all can be praying for that day specifically. I may not be able to do much this weekend-I will be gone and can't promise that there will be internet (or time) But I will do my best for the other days.

Here is a bit of an email that Justin sent out to his church and family-

"We'll be in the air before you wake up on Wednesday (except for a few of you early risers!)  and on our way to Miami.  From there, we'll catch a second plane and should be in Port-au-Prince by 2:40pm, Plymouth time!

We're not sure if we'll be able to connect to the internet while there, but just in case, you may want to check out the church's facebook page while we're gone (www.facebook.com/nsccplymouth).  We'll try our very best to post pictures of us with Delight."

They should be arriving in Miami in just a few more hours and then will have about a two hour layover before they complete their journey.

May your day be blessed-

my eyes

I wonder sometimes what it looks like through another persons eyes. What do they see? How do they see things? What things do I miss but they capture in their mind through those searching eyes? With each blink and movement of their eye they take in the world in a completely different way than I do.

I wish I could see through your eyes. I wish I could see how you see people and places and all the wonders of life. But I must say that I do love seeing through mine. Taking in each movement and motion that passes before me. I do wish sometimes I could show others what I see. What I see when I look at you and what the sunset looks like when I take it all in.

Then I think of Jesus and what He saw-that very thought sends a shiver through me right now as I type that. Just imagine it-seeing this world through holy eyes. I can't begin to comprehend it at all-not at all. But I know that what He saw moved him, cause Him to act in love and not a person went unnoticed. "But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd."

I have no other words but I leave you with that. May your eyes be opened this day to the glory that surrounds us all. Don't let it pass you by-His presence is swirling around you and inviting you to see beyond this world. If this doesn't blow you away, I really don't know what will.

 "For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known."

Be Blessed

{spring}

So last night I went to bed and had read out of Isaiah. It ran through my head and I got this picture of what I had just read. I couldn't get it out of my head-I fell asleep eventually, dreamed some random dreams and before you knew it the time had come to wake up. Well, first thing on my mind is that verse and the picture that came along with it. I got ready for the day, grabbed some toast and headed out with my camera. I usually don't bring it with but I thought that maybe something would strike me as intriguing. The sky was gray, the air a bit crisp and not too much else going on. I made it to the building and stepped inside, but that image and verse wouldn't leave. It was screaming now in my head-like someone had a bullhorn and was holding it point blank to me. So, I turned right around and walked out the door. I didn't know what to do about it-I had a picture in my head and I didn't know where I would be able to capture that image outside of my swirling mind. But then as I walked back to my house I saw something that caught my eye. I began to laugh-it was exactly what He had showed me-the picture of this verse. I got down in my black skirt and laid down on the ground to grab this image. It is not just a picture, this is something that He gave specially and even allowed me to now share it with you. It may not be that be of a deal to you all, but that's ok-He did something special and that absolutely made my day! So may you enjoy the goodness of Jesus. He is full of it and lavishes it on those He loves. Be blessed.

{floodgates}

Well, after being drenched in the goodness of a God who loves to lavish Love-I must say that I have been blessed. This past weekend a group of us were able to go and experience the world of homeschooling moms and dads at the Cincinnati Home School Convention. I really had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. Lets just say that this is a new generation of soccer moms. It was incredible! The amount of people that were in that building all at once was just amazing in itself. I am still trying to process through all that took place over the weekend. So many lives and so many stories, so many hurts, so many joys. It was just awesome to be able to speak into the lives that literally surrounded us-not just to tell them about what we had to offer but that there was the love of Jesus that was beyond measure. Many conversations that He allowed us to have this weekend I believe will last for eternity. Life was spoken and His blessing was there on our lives. It was not like we were there to promote ourselves, no it wasn't like that at all. We were about something much bigger and I believe that everyone who was there would agree that it wasn't about us but totally and completely about showing the love of Jesus to people starving for His love. Love was not only given but received, so many lives touched mine and I can say that I have been blessed to overflowing. He is good and is worthy to be praised.
"...prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it"

Giving a lot of information clearly and in a few words; brief but comprehensive

Alrighty folks, I have found that in life that most people lack the knowledge of this word. When communicating over the phone I find it something that is missing in most customer calls.  Having patience with these calls like this today is something I am needing in abundance today.

The End.
